The Experience I Wanted

For my first trip to Tokyo I knew I wanted to stay in Shinjuku and I wanted ton stay in a capsule hotel. This was great. It is a proper capsule hotel with rows of cubbyhole bunks. Quite comfortable and I had no issues with noise. You get a locker for your stuff, bedding, PJs, slippers, some toiletries, a towel...everything you need. The bathrooms were big and well equipped. Breakfast was included but it was in a separate building somewhere and I never bothered to go find it. I just got a tin of coffee from the vending machines on the kitchen floor. The wifi was good. There is a weird thing where you sort have to check out for a bout 4 hours each day, but I could leave my bag in the locker and I had the same bunk, so it wasn't a big deal. The place, despite being on an upper floor of a tower is easy to find (I used maps.me) and it is just a couple mis form the train station. I thought it was awesome and would definitely stay there again.

Spent 2 nights in this hotel, great for the price every is provided toothpaste, soap, shampoo and deodorant plus more, in your locker you will find pj's and towels the mens bathroom is ideal with sauna hot tub shower etc. My wife stayed in the women's floor which was safe and secure. There is a good communal room with microwave oven washer and dryer and a nice seating area. The main reception area is chaotic with luggage all around we was travelling light taking just enough for the weekend as we were based elsewhere in Japan so not a problem for us, my main issue is for some reason men need to check out and in every day taking everything with you but women can leave their luggage in their locker, there is left luggage lockers nearby so you won't need to carry stuff around. The hotel is in a good area with plenty to do and see. A nice cheap weekend in Tokyo.

I mean wow. My first time in a capsule hotel in the middle of Tokyo for like thirty bucks and I did not expect all this! The place might look a bit rough at first but the capsules and licing areas are nice and clean. The price pretty much includes everything from pyjamas to toothbrushes so you really don’t need to bring anything 😁 even face wash and all shower amenities. There are seperate women’s and men’s floors which is great. The place was great even tho the location might be a little sus.

Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel offers cheap accommodations which is the nicest thing you can say about it. Otherwise, it is extremely unsanitary, with drunk dudes peeing in the hallways and bathroom floors. There are cobwebs in abundance which make me dubious about the place being cleaned very well. The pods are fine but depending where you are (each night you have a different pod) they can have an odor of their own. You cannot beat the price but it is worth spending more to not walk through urine.

Great value for money in a good location near everywhere in Tokyo. The English-speaking staff provided great service and always greeted me with a smile. Remember you are booking a budget hotel and with that these are the amenities included: -Sanitation stations -Bath and sauna amenities available (I'm not sure for female patrons) -Lockers that fit hand carry luggage provided -Luggage check-in (can be made more secure/organized) -Smoking area -Vending machines for food and snacks -Near restaurants and convenience stores (so you can always eat out) -Your capsule beddings will be clean and organized (if you're accustomed to sleeping with an aircon, you'll be sensitive to the capsule's controlled temperature) I only stayed for a night to try the experience. I hope they get more foreign customers through this review.
